Michigan Center Varsity girls basketball team beat Reading 50-47 Thursday night.

The game was a thrilling seesaw battle from the start--13 to 12 MC after one, 25 to 24 MC at half.  The Cardinals led by 10 with 6 minutes left in the fourth, but Reading battled back with 3 3 pointers and took a 1 point lead with 18 seconds left.  MC called a timeout with 8 seconds left and returned the ball to inbounder Sophomore Julia Reynolds who banked in a 3 pointer after being fouled.  She made the free throw for the final margin.  Reynolds led the Cardinals with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.  Sophomore Sam Wynn added 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.  Kamryn Shannon had 10 points and Riley Brown played tremendous defense.  MC is now 10-8 and on a 3 game winning streak.
