SPRINGPORT HIGH SCHOOL: 18
The JV Girls basketball team dominated Springport, winning 71 to 18 by using a stifling defense once again. The Cardinals had 23 steals while only pressing for a short time in the first half. MC scored 48 points by halftime before a running clock limited them to 23 in the second half. Andi MacKenzie led the scoring attack with 16 points. Erin Prater scored 10, Logan Murphy 9, and Taylor Lammon, Amanda Zaborowski, and Lauren Putnam had 8 points. Prater led the team with 7 rebounds and shared the team lead with Zaborowski for steals (5). Madi Bradley played a good all around game, scoring 3 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, and adding 2 steals and 2 assists. The team is now 3-0.
