The JV Girls basketball team opened conference play by beating Manchester 56 to 11.  The Cardinal's swarming defense limited the Dutch to zero points in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.  All 12 players who suited up scored, including exchange student Rika Grimm, who made a free throw during the 2nd quarter.  Mic Jaycox led the team with 12 points and added 3 rebounds and 3 assists.  Lauren Putnam had 8 points while Madison Vieau and Madi Bradley scored 6 apiece.  Marayah Nadell led the team with 4 rebounds and added 2 steals.  MC has now limited each opponent to less than 20 points and have not let a team score over 8 points in a single quarter all year.  In the 20 quarters of play the Cardinals have only scored less than 8 points in 1 quarter (which was a running clock).  The team is 5-0 overall and 1-0 in the Cascades Conference.
